The DULT has its jurisdiction over the entire Bangalore Metropolitan Region (about 8000 sq. km) for which the BMLTA is specifically created. Apart from the BMR, seven Municipal Corporations in the State listed below are under the purview of DULT:

  • Mysore,
  • Mangalore,
  • Hubli-Dharwar,
  • Belgaum,

    On the lines of National Urban Transport Policy (NUTP), 2006 and recommendation of National Working Group on Urban Transport for 11th Plan Govt. of Karnataka has constituted the Directorate of Urban Land transport (DULT).
