Jurisdiction

The DULT has its jurisdiction over the entire Bangalore Metropolitan Region (about 8000 sq. km) for which the BMLTA is specifically created. Apart from the BMR, seven Municipal Corporations in the State listed below are under the purview of DULT:

• Mysore,
• Mangalore,
• Hubli-Dharwar,
• Belgaum,
• Gulbarga and
• Bellary.

It will be gradually extended in stages to all towns / cities and urban settlements with a population of over one lakh.
